When I submit the puzzle...
I back to the previous page and but all my work was missing... so sad I need to redo the puzzle...

I believe it means the database was down, pretty much. Why it was down could be several reasons.
Would be nice if browsers had a special back button option which went back to how the page was before you clicked a link, rather than back to how it was when the page was loaded. |

That's happened to me in the past. The thing is to hit Reload instead of Back.

I'll echo what Procrastinator said. Reload usually works, as it's usually just a temporary glitch. Back will mean starting from scratch. I had one of these messages earlier this week, but it got the data through a few seconds later. |

I had the same yesterday as well after trying to submit my puzzle. But it also happened when trying to access the leaderboard page. |

Theoretically I've changed the message now so that it tells you to try refresh/reload instead of back... |
