I may agree with you, although these puzzles aren't designed to have "significant" read-aheads, at least for my solver. I don't have a good estimator of difficulty, since I only have two difficulty levels right now. But to give you some idea of what the solver thinks, here are the times needed to solve the puzzle and the length of solution for the last few puzzles compared to the one I think you're referring to.
The difficult one:

This is the kind of deduction I can not easily visualize in my head, but with the colors on the 2 deductions are simples. The forced line is at the right the of square @c12r9 (the square to the right of the left top 2). Note that the line deduction doesn't required the bottom edge, but the cross deduction does.
But I do not understand why you wrote "then assume there's a line on the left of c12r11"? |
