I've gone through Jankonyex's solution to last Friday's puzzle (thank you very much Jankonyex) and noticed some moves which completely baffle me.
If anyone could explain them, I'd be very grateful. (I've numbered the moves for easy reference.)
Move 1
We get to here…
Then these two crosses are added, but I don't understand why:

Later, we get to this stage:
Then two lines and a cross are added, but I don't understand why:
Move 3
Later still, we get to this stage:
Then these two crosses are added… why?
Move 4
Then later we get to this stage:
And then these four crosses are added…
Move 5
And finally, we get to here:
And then one cross is added, then a line:
I just want to know why! If it's too complicated to explain quickly with words, then I will understand. But if you can explain it to me, I would appreaciate it, thanks. |
