I would very much like to ask if it would be possible to change the shading in the variants as it is in the standard. The blue and green completely merge when fixing the game. At least in color, although I would also like the reduction. Or it would be enough if the blue and green did not darken so much during fixation.
I wonder if there are other players who use shading at all?

I use shading. A fixed line is certainly difficult to see when there is fixed shading around it. This is only an issue on the Slitherlink Variations.

To get around this, I Un-Fix the puzzle whenever I can.

Perhaps the shading could further lighten when being fixed? The lines and x's already "lighten" from black to green...

I've modified the shading so it does go lighter when the position is fixed, as you suggest.

Maybe changing color of lines would helps even more... green in green is not contrasting enough...

My main limitations are now just my lack of skill.
