Anyone else feel there has been a bit of a trend in puzzles recently towards them being more 'interesting'? Today's puzzle threatened to not be trivial, lots of small scattered bits that don't go far, until everything started cascading into one another and the entire puzzle is solved trivially after all, and I think I've seen an increase in puzzles which rely on there being a single loop to make significant chunks of progress. |

Today's puzzle wasn't a typical Monday puzzle.Like you said, smaller pieces scattered and then connected in the end without longer exploration.
Over all, puzzles have been interesting also before, but there has been a bigger variety in themes lately |
