PuzzleLover Kwon-Tom Obsessive Puzzles: 1033 Best Total: 38m 17s | Posted - 2006.08.05 03:43:24 Toward the end of this Saturday's puzzle I was all solved except for a region like this on the left:
After the initial trial/error solve I looked for a logical solution. The best I found was: 1. Try x above the middle 3. With Fix Position and endpoint counting, this leads to a big loop on the right, contradiction. 2. Try down from the lower left of the middle 3. Fix Position and endpoint counting leads to a fairly quick contradiction.
Are there any cleaner ways to finish up this puzzle? In particular, any ways that don't require Fix Position? Thanks. |
