When I trained as a maths teacher many years ago, we were told that boys were much better than girls at "spatial" problems - which I certainly consider Kwon-tom Loop to be.  Does anyone have any idea whether there are more males than females using this site?

PS I am female and not very good at it!

As far as I know, Tzukanion and I are the only females in Club19, though I'm not 100% certain of everyone else's genders!

I've recruited two others to the site - one male, one female.

My husband (tilps) found this site for me, although I've always been more into the loops than he was. We haven't managed to recruit anyone else though so I don't know who else is who.

I'm much better than him at it though!

What I've noticed from comparing my playing style with Jean's is that I am much better at deriving complete solutions for entire areas in my head, sometimes the solution will just come to me spontaneously (although not anywhere near as often as I would like), but none of the above is fast. She is far better at using a mouse accurately and quickly, thinks more quickly with the basic stuff and has memorized more patterns.  She is also much better at being systematic in a way which maximises speed.

Even with the easiest of puzzles, I can't seem to break 2 minutes, even though I consider them entirely trivial, I can think faster than I can click/move the mouse accurately.

Tilps is smarter than me.

Don't let him tell you otherwise!
