So I noticed the alternate puzzles disappeared a couple of weeks ago. I'm just making sure it's a system thing and not something with my browser. |

I never played them here, but there is a link in the forumposts about hexagonal slitherinks. I'm playing at the gopuzzles and solving the Cairos. They are pentagonal and closest to these regular ones |

They haven't gone anywhere... certain conditions have to apply before they appear... (keeping things vague deliberately!) |

I'm not entirely clear on the reason or whether it's still necessary (I think it was meant as a surprise), but the Variations section of the website is set up to be invisible until you've [met a certain condition on the Standard website. If you e.g. think of the Variations section as a higher difficulty mode on this website, I think the condition makes sense.]
Unfortunately, the current setup means that if you're *only* interested in Variations puzzles, and not in the Standard ones, you can't currently access them. But I guess if the interest is there, you could request foilman to change it  .

Now I'm really curious as I had these puzzles appear for a day and then disappear again aswell. I liked the idea a lot! Anyone care to tell me what I have to achieve (again)?
(And as I posted this, they appeared again. Strange things happening, indeed!)

They should be there permanently now; previously you had to complete all of the standard puzzles for a week, but now they're out of their trial period and available to all. If you don't see the option at the top, let me know, as it should always be there now. |

Thanks, it's there now. It wasn't when I logged in yesterday for the first time after about two weeks. It appeared after I opened a "normal" puzzle. (At least that's what I think. I'm sure though that it wasn't there when I logged in.) I like this new feature! Thanks for it! |
