I have to admit, when I first started these, I used to get times like that, even while working etc. Now, however, I'd be surprised if a Monday puzzle takes me longer than 5 minutes or so. It's all about practice and recognising certain situations/patterns. Having said that, I still struggle with the weekend puzzles. Last Saturday's took me about 9 hrs. Admittedly, I was drunk, tired and got it started at 5 am and then left it til I got up a few hours later, but that's no excuse.....
