User interface request - alternative to double-clicking? |

I'm glad I found this great site and have one request that would make me even happier! It would be nice if you could add some other method of putting crosses that doesn't involve double-clicking. Like holding shift or ctrl while clicking perhaps? I find it frustrating trying to achieve fast double-clicks all the time, especially since the interface is a bit unresponsive on my not so fast P3 computer. When I try to solve a puzzle as fast as possible it forces a lot of my focus on mouse handling rather that the actual puzzle!

Never mind. |

I've tested it on Windows using Firefox and Internet Explorer, but not on anything else... so good luck. |
raylight Kwon-Tom Addict Puzzles: 328 Best Total: 34m 33s | Posted - 2006.04.03 15:33:36 Works great for me in Internet Explorer, thanks!!! The estimated time of failure of my mouse has just increased by a couple of months. Now, if just quit playing pinball my keyboard would be safe too!
Btw, just realized, I hope this doesn't have any implications in Kwon-Tom Wrong. I'm not sure if I understand how you count changes, but if it only counts when placing/removing lines, one could now place crosses for free by using the shift key.. Or does every type of change count? |
foilman Kwon-Tom Admin Puzzles: 3613 Best Total: 24m 6s | Posted - 2006.04.03 17:40:50 It shouldn't affect the Wrong puzzles... each segment is counted the first time you click on it, and not for any other clicks, no matter how many times you click on it - for lines, crosses or spaces.

xyphic Kwon-Tom Obsessive Puzzles: 2799 Best Total: 20m 29s | Posted - 2006.04.06 07:11:51 There's a slight bug with the shift-click: if you hold shift and click twice, it seems to lock that line out completely (i.e. you can't put a line *or* a cross in it)! This is in FireFox; I haven't tried it in IE. |
