"ignore a ringing phone" ?!? That's nothing. I was half-way through a very fast Sunday solve last weekend, when the wife screams that an ant nest is hatching under the freezer, and are flying at her while she's cooking dinner!
You guessed it, I told her I'd be there in 5 minutes!
I did in 12'45, so was really pleased 
I may have suffered for a couple of days, but it was worth it...
Oh, I'm expecting to break into the 59 club tomorrow - Had a mare (15'33) on last Friday's - normally c.6min. Oddly enough, I was on exactly 59'59 before doing today's! |

Took 3 minutes off my best this weekend, but i'm still another 3 minutes short. I'd blame wisdom tooth extraction, but my saturday time is a personal best. |

About flippin' time!!
At least 3 years in the making.
I remember doubting I'd ever get to Club 59 way back when...
Don't expect to see me in Club 19 any time soon. Even if I do start using the flash solver, I've got some serious improving to do. Sum of best daily times = 22'44", so I'd have to break all my existing daily records in one rolling week. Fat chance.
For now, I'm delighted and relieved - it *IS* possible !

For the record, my progression is as follows
1st puzzle - can't remember - late '06 or early '07
Club 59 - 13/7/07
Club 49 - 14/11/07 (124 days)
Club 39 - 4/4/08 (142 days)
Club 29 - 10/6/09 (432 days)
Club 19 - unlikely... |

There's a lot of use who will always be in Club 29. Don't ever see myself crossing over to club 19. My best times get me to 16:41, but I can't ever seem to get through an easy week without messing up a puzzle. I need to get my week times total to about 8 and both my weekend puzzles under 6 minutes each, but I never managed to combine the 2. I've had a few times where a proper time could just get me under 20 minutes but I always managed to royally screw up that puzzle and wouldn't even come close to the time required. |

What an awesome/easy week.
I finally joined Club 29 and did it by beating 3 of my best daily times and cutting almost 5 minutes from my best weekly total.
And it "only" took me a year or two to move on from Club 39... |

WOOT finally. I've been close a few times with my best a few months ago at like 31 minutes. And what's funny is that my best ever is creeping toward 20, but I just COULDN'T put 7 days together. UNTIL NOW! |
